Twenty-Eigth Sunday
In Ordinary Time

This weekend, we read in the Gospel the story of the healing of the ten lepers. Jesus listens and tends to the cry of these sick people who yell, “Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!” In His infinite mercy and love, the Lord acts immediately, healing them. Yet, only one returns to give Him THANKS!

Quite often, we Christians ask the Lord to grant us things, but very few times we come to Him in thanksgiving for all the blessings He bestows on us in our lives. Jesus invites us to reflect on our hearts attitude and to be grateful to God, our Father. All that we are and all that we have He has given it to us, and we should give Him thanks for being so generous with us.

Reflect, are you like the leper who came back to thank and praise Jesus or are you like the nine who did not do it? Count your blessings, not your problems...
